What is a Recognition Strategy?
A recognition strategy is a link to the corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization. It serves as the roadmap of the recognition program. Recognition Professionals International (RPI) defines a recognition strategy as:
- Identifying employee behaviors that advance the organization’s goals and values
- Recognizing those behaviors
- Promoting the behaviors
When developing your recognition strategy, you must clearly define your objectives and what you hope to accomplish in your recognition program.
